I provide individual therapy for teens, young adults, and adults navigating ADHD, anxiety, identity and self-esteem, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and life transitions. My approach is strengths-based and person-centered, drawing on CBT, ACT, and mindfulness techniques.
Virtual therapy available across Ontario.
Hi, I'm Ciaran.
I was drawn to this work because I know firsthand what it feels like to be supported through a hard time, and that's exactly what I hope to offer the people I work with.
My approach feels warm and non-judgemental. I want clients to feel safe to explore whatever they bring into the room. At the same time, I like to balance that openness with some structure, so sessions feel both supportive and productive.
You don't have to have everything figured out before we start. Sessions can progress at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I understand how scary it can feel navigating life changes as a teen or young adult, and I want working together to feel supportive, not overwhelming.
You Might Be Here Because...
- You feel like you're constantly overthinking everything and it's exhausting
- You've been told you're "too sensitive" or "too much," and you're starting to believe it
- You're tired of trying to be perfect and still feeling like it's never enough
- You keep saying yes when you really mean no, just to keep the peace
- You're in the middle of a big life change and don't feel quite like yourself right now
- You want to feel understood, not fixed
- You hold yourself and sometimes others to a really high standard, and it's hard when things fall short
- You're tired of being called "lazy" or "disorganized" when you're actually trying really hard
Areas of Focus
ADHD
Working with ADHD, in my experience, means going beyond focus tips and skills to improve productivity. We look at how ADHD shows up in your unique life, relationships, self-worth, and the frustration of being misunderstood by others, and build strategies that actually fit how your brain works.
Anxiety
Anxiety often shows up as constant overthinking, worst-case scenario thinking, or a mind that won't slow down, but it can also show up in the body as a racing heart, tight chest, trouble sleeping, or a general sense of restlessness. Together we work on understanding what might be driving that pattern, not just managing the symptoms in the moment, so you can start trusting yourself again instead of your anxious thoughts.
Self-Esteem & Identity
Most of the self-esteem work I do isn't about confidence-building exercises. While that can be a component of it, the deeper focus is on untangling who you are from who you think you're supposed to be. We work together to build a sense of self that feels genuinely yours, not shaped by other people's expectations.
Perfectionism & People-Pleasing
This work often looks like unpacking why "good enough" never feels like enough, and why saying no can sometimes feel so uncomfortable. We look at where those patterns came from and practice new ways of setting healthy boundaries and holding realistic standards, without the guilt that usually follows.
Life Transitions
Life transitions — starting college, a breakup, a move, or simply growing into a new version of yourself — can leave you feeling unsteady. Together, we work through what's actually happening beneath the change, so you can feel more grounded again.

What Makes Working With Ciaran Different
ACT Training Specific to ADHD
I've completed an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy course specifically tailored for ADHD, which means my clients receive neurodivergent-affirming care.
Connection With Teens and Young Adults
I understand the unique challenges of being a teen or young adult — navigating identity, independence, and growing into who you are. This understanding shapes how I connect with younger clients.
I Understand People-Pleasing, Perfectionism, and Anxiety From the Inside
I understand what it's like to experience anxiety, learn to set healthy boundaries, and navigate external pressure to be perfect — and this understanding allows me to connect particularly well with people experiencing similar difficulties.
Collaborative and Non-Judgmental Approach
Sessions with me are collaborative and non-judgmental. I always want you to feel like you can decide what we focus on in our sessions together.
Affordable ADHD & Anxiety Therapy: Cost of Working Together
While completing her practicum at Théla, Ciaran offers her first 12 sessions at no cost. After that, sessions are $20 per session, where continued therapy is available and clinically appropriate.
This is part of Théla's broader Affordable Therapy Program, which pairs clients with supervised practicum student therapists.
Frequently Asked Questions
This is your sub-headline
The first session is mostly about getting to know each other. We'll talk through what's bringing you in, what you're hoping to get out of therapy, and I'll answer any questions you might have about the process or how I work.
As an intern, I work under the supervision of a registered psychotherapist, who I regularly consult with to make sure you're getting the best possible care.
We'll check in regularly about how things feel, and you might notice small shifts over time — less overwhelm, better boundaries, or just feeling more like yourself. If something isn't working, we can adjust the approach together.
No, you don't necessarily need a formal diagnosis to seek therapy for concerns related to anxiety, ADHD, self-esteem, or life transitions. We can discuss and explore what you're experiencing and whether working together feels like the right fit.
Yes. My approach focuses on recognizing neurological differences rather than trying to eliminate them. Together, we'll build strategies that work with your brain, not against it.
If You're on the Fence
That's okay — it's a big step to reach out. You don't have to have it all figured out to start.
