Evee is one of the therapy dogs at Théla Psychotherapy Clinic. She brings a gentle, calm presence to the therapy space and, when appropriate, may be part of in-person sessions to help some clients feel more grounded and at ease.

Her role in therapy is simple and quiet — to be present in a way that feels supportive, never distracting or overwhelming.

Evee’s Role in Therapy

When clinically appropriate, Evee may join select in-person sessions as part of an animal-assisted therapy approach. For some clients, her calm presence can help support:

  • Emotional regulation during difficult moments

  • Grounding when feelings feel overwhelming

  • A sense of comfort and safety in the room

Including Evee in sessions is always a shared decision. Some clients find her presence helpful, while others prefer sessions without her — both are completely okay.

What Sessions with Evee Are Like

If Evee is part of a session, you can expect her to:

  • Rest quietly nearby

  • Stay close without needing attention

  • Offer gentle, non-intrusive companionship

There is no expectation to interact with her. Some clients enjoy quietly petting her during grounding moments, while others simply appreciate knowing she’s there.

Comfort, Choice, and Boundaries

Your comfort always comes first.

Animal-assisted therapy at Théla is:

  • Optional and never assumed

  • Offered only to adults

  • Discussed in advance

  • Flexible and adjusted at any time

Evee is closely monitored and her well-being is always prioritized. If she shows signs of needing a break, she is removed from the session. If at any point you feel unsure or uncomfortable, alternative arrangements are always available.

Animal-assisted therapy may not be suitable for everyone, including those with allergies, strong fears of dogs, or personal preferences against animal presence — and that’s completely respected.

A Little About Evee

Evee is known for her gentle nature and observant personality. She tends to stay calm and settled, responding best to quiet, steady environments. Outside of sessions, she enjoys resting, slow walks, and time to decompress.
