Nurturing Young Minds with Care
Supporting growth through gentle, child-centered therapy
Children and youth move through many emotional, social, and developmental changes as they grow. At Thelá Psychotherapy Clinic, we provide a warm, safe, and supportive space where young people can express themselves, build confidence, and learn tools that help them navigate life's challenges.
We tailor our therapeutic approach to each child’s age, personality, and needs. Our goal is to strengthen emotional resilience, communication skills, and overall mental well-being—helping your child feel understood, supported, and capable.
Together, we help your child build a strong foundation for a healthy and hopeful future.

Children & Youth
Child and youth therapy offers supportive counselling for teens and young people navigating emotional, social, and developmental challenges. Adolescence can be overwhelming, and therapy provides a space where youth can feel heard and supported.
We support youth and families in Markham, Toronto, and across Ontario with concerns such as anxiety, emotional regulation, school stress, mood changes, self-esteem, and family or life transitions.
Sessions are age-appropriate, gentle, and paced to the youth’s comfort level. Caregiver involvement may be included when helpful and appropriate.

Parent or caregiver involvement may be included when helpful, while still respecting the youth’s privacy and autonomy.
That’s very common. Therapy is introduced gently, and sessions focus on building trust and comfort rather than forcing participation.
Therapy is confidential within professional and legal guidelines. Confidentiality is explained clearly to both youth and caregivers.
If your child is struggling emotionally, socially, or behaviourally, or seems overwhelmed, therapy may offer support even without a diagnosis.
Child and youth therapy offers a safe space for teens to talk about emotions, stress, and changes they may not know how to express elsewhere.
