Specialty Add-On

Animal-assisted psychotherapy is an optional in-person service where a trained therapy dog may be present to support grounding, emotional regulation, and a sense of safety during sessions.

This service is available in Markham when clinically appropriate and always with client consent. The dog’s presence is optional, and therapy remains focused on your goals and needs.

Animal-assisted therapy may be supportive for clients experiencing anxiety, stress, trauma responses, emotional regulation challenges, or difficulty settling in traditional therapy settings.

Is This Right for Me?

This service may be a good fit if you find comfort in animals and are open to having a therapy dog present during sessions. It may not be the right fit for everyone, and that’s okay. We’re happy to talk through options and help you decide what feels most supportive for you.
